Sections of the Berlin Wall

Mountain View, California

"We stumbled upon this display when winding our way between buildings and through parking
lots to get to a small sandwich shop nearby. Strangely, they are in a corner of a parking
lot of a small office building complex in an infrequented part of the city.

"According to a man we met at the display, the owner of the property had escaped Nazi
Germany in 1939. When the walls fell in 1989, he had two sections sent over here, and
placed a dedication of appreciation to the Americans, on a bronze plaque in front of
them." --Doris
