Elk on alert

"As we drove through a wonderful string of redwood groves, we spotted a large herd of elk
laying down for an afternoon nap. Of course we had to stop and try for a Phoon picture.

"As Bob entered the field from the right, first one and then several others noticed his
action and stood up, probably wanting to give him a warning. It worked. He moved very
cautiously from then on." --Doris
