The Alhambra

"This was once the residence of the Kings of Granada. This has to be my favorite of all my
Phoons because of the effort to make it happen. Ahmed and I planned that I would phoon off
to the left, with a grass bank as the background for my white clothing. I was to make my
way to that spot and he was to make his way up the opposite mountain and in 30 minutes he
was to take the photo. After crossing a river and climbing up, I discovered that my spot
was barricaded by a fence! I had no phone and could not inform Ahmed of the problem. I
climbed further up and headed toward another spot where I would be visible. Being so far
apart, we could not see each other with the naked eye. I had a camera with me and took
several flash photos, hoping that he would notice. Then I stood in a Phoon pose for about
five minutes around the agreed-on time, just in case he didn't see me and was taking
photos anyway. When I returned to the meeting point, he confirmed he saw the flashes!"
