Nordkapp

Nordkapp, Norway

"The North Cape is a crag of grayish-black slate, furrowed by deep clefts, which rises
abruptly from the sea on the north side of the island of Magery. It is regarded as the
northernmost point in Europe, though in fact the cape of Knivskjelodden reaches slightly
farther north. This point is, however, much easier to access by bus or car. It almost
feels like the end of the earth when one looks out to the Barents Sea." --Susan
