Amazing privilege

Royal Gorge, Ca�on City, Colorado

"While touring the Royal Gorge in the only two seats in the engine cab (read more in this
Phoon story
, we were surprised when Bob the engineer brought the train to a full stop
midway. Bob added that he didn't usually stop for his cab passengers, but that we were
young and agile and seemed like we would really enjoy getting out and looking around. So,
while the rest of the passengers probably wondered why we were stopped (several watched us
from the open bed of the train, way in the distance), WE strolled down the tracks, viewed
the Arkansas river and steep walls of the gorge up close and in personal and posed for
photos. The world's highest suspension bridge is swaying over a thousand feet up right
