Mother's Day

Mitchell Park, Palo Alto, California

"It was 47 years ago on this day that we brought our little family to this very park to
celebrate Mother's Day. I always called it 'My happiest Mother's Day' because all of my
children were having such a good time, picnicking, playing, and wading in the wading pool.
Our two little girls rollerskated 'round and 'round in this sunken cement circle. It
stands out as one of my favorite Mother's Days because all of my kids were having fun, and
when they were happy, I was happy, too. Just had to phoon here with John." --Mom
